Community Pediatrics offers a variety of special services to help care for your children:
- ADHD - We have two doctors who specialize in ADHD diagnosis and treatment.
- Infectious Disease - We have a board certified infectious disease doctor to help with complex cases and travel medicine.
- Adolescent gynecology –Dr. Spiegel is trained in adolescent gynecology.
- Ear piercing - Dr. Spiegel is trained in performing medical ear piercing.
- Lab work – Lab work including hemoglobin, cholesterol, glucose, lead level and mononucleosis testing can be done in office with a simple finger poke. Infectious disease tests for the RSV and flu virus as well as Strep bacteria are also available in office by nasal or throat swab. Urine can be tested in office for routine analysis and culture.
- Lactation specialist - Cindy Shelton provides help over the phone and in-home visits when requested.
- Parenting hotline - Free parenting consultations and questions are available over the phone with our early childhood specialist, parenting expert and therapist, Marilyn Greene, MA, MFT
- Vision testing - Community Pediatrics is pleased to offer an ocular photo vision screen that tests for nearsighted, farsighted, cross eyes, visual acuity dysfunction, and many other abnormalities in babies as young as 6 months of age.
